Björn, do you know what format is actually used on the discs? You could find out by playing a Sensio disc without Sensio device connected. You should see both left and right image on your TV in side-by-side, over/under or some other layout. I want to know this because I want to make sure my Stereoscopic Player (http://mitglied.lycos.de/stereo3d) does support this layout. | ||

Does the Sensio format do side by side unsqueezed, or are the side by side images slightly squeezed for encoding to maximize the available resolution on the 1.37:1 screen? I saw a very brief clip of a Sensio DVD and it looked like it may be squeezed for the encoding, but unsqueezed when combined and page flipped for frame sequential playback. | ||

went to a sensio dealer and tried to watch haunted castle. the image was dark, flickery, intermittent and pseudoscopic. they apalogized and said it needed calibrating. went back 2 weeks later when they said it was fixed. guess what, still the same. still pseudoscopic. | ||

Im wondering.. Even though they may have side by side formattd DVD, How will this look on a "norma;" CRT TV? wont it flicker? and on a plasma screen display, is the sensio player actually like a hi-speed computer that does pageflip stereo? anyone care to enlighten us on the enitire concept of what exactly is the hype about sensio? regards Clyde |
