im a newbie to virtual reality and i bought a cheap vfx1 at ebay. i want to get i-glasses some times but at the moment i just dont have the money. no my question to that old-school vfx1 is:

-Can i use it to play Half-life (i allready know i need a 640x480 resultion and 256 colors. and i have to open the console and type: "lcd_x 1" .. but that doesnt work for .. its doing nothing.
-is there a patch for unreal (i didnt find one) if not any other command line thing or something.

thanks for your help and ill go on reading the forums but the only information on the forums is that i need a linkbox for higher color support.

so any help would be nice

jUst,

I never tried it with either HL or Unreal... But I can't see why you wouldn't be able to at least see the image on the display...
Make sure you're on software mode, NO 3D ACCEL! :)

Can you see the desktop? If you can't even see that, then there's something else wrong...

But I'll tell you.. The best game for the VFX1 has got to be Quake 1, it has it all...
