Hi boys & girls,

I'm entering the HMDs world and I've got couple of questions.

1. Which technology is better for HMD, LCD/CRT/LCOS/FLCOS ?
2. What is LCOS & FLCOS ?
3. Why are HMDs are so expensive? market is not big enough or it's that the hardware is really that expensive... ? Do you see HMDs prices falling dramatically in the future ?
4. What HMD would you recommend buying for budget under 1000$, 5000$, 10000$, 20000$?
5. Regarding the Resolution issue: I understand that the spec resolution isn’t the “true” resolution and it should be divided by 3 because only 3 pixels form the RGB color mixture. Is that right for all HMD technologies (LCD/CRT & LCOS)? Are there already HMDs today that provide true resolution of 1024x768 ?
6. Is it possible to display inside HMD a bmp image? Will it look as it looks on regular monitor in terms of quality of the image?
7. Did Sony stop manufacturing its Glasstron HMDs ?
8. What is Arc minute / Pixel ?
9. What is Overlap ?

Thanks a lot for answering,
Joe.
