Has anyone seen the beach head 2000 HMD's at the arcades?

They use a large LCD, I believe 5 to 7 inch LCD, and some light optics to produce a wide FOV HMD.
Shouldnt this be easy to do?
I've seen the inside of one and its very simplistic.

Dago,

The resolution seemed very good. I'm thinking either 640 x 480 or 800 x 600 or somewhere in between. Havent researched enough yet to know any better. I'll start looking into it.

Inside of the HMD was nothing but the LCD and a small board to plug in the VGA. There where two VGA plugs, probably a passthru option for an outside monitor. Either way, it was very easy looking (to build).

Wonder if these would be enough.

960(H) x 240(V). Vertical resolution isnt very good but they are cheap. 107.00 USD.

960 x 240 resolution means that you have 320 x 240 pixel effective resolution. 320 right, green and blue pixels in one row make together 960.

You won't get a worse display anywhere!
