Hi!

Does anyone have details on nVidia's DDC protocol used to control the image polarity of 3d gear? What exactly needs to be sent over the DDC data and clock lines? Any timing constraints?

This information is not published. The best solution is to hook an O'scope up to the DDC data and clock lines of the VGA cable, and watch what happens.

This link will show you the DDC and clock line data for a circuit that converts from Wicked3D to Revelator :-

Nice. :-)

Well, it works. I was beginning to despair that my brand new i-Glasses SVGA 3D was completely broken. Apparently it just doesn't like a free running page flipping signal but it does seem to obey the DDC line. In free running mode the unit insists on swapping polarity every few seconds, though, and I'm pretty sure it's not because of missed frames. :-(

There are a lot of other silly problems with Radeon drivers under Linux but at least I'm good for a nice game of stereoscopic pool, now.

Next if I could just make this thing work under Win2k with my Radeon 9700 Pro...
