Ladies and Gentlemen-

DLP is here, and you can buy it now. Check out the following link and by inspection of the technoloogy you will soon agree that DLP is the future of 3D imaging, from projection systems, to TV's to HMD to computer monitors:

Whoever gets this to work on the Panasonic DLP HDTV first will be rich, as the refresh rate is high (110 Hz), the resolution is high (HDTV), and there is absolutely NO GHOSTING by virtue of the technology.

Christie digital is already using it as a 3D projection system:

Looks interesting, but I see no indication that the Panasonic system is free of the built-in frame rate converter, that usually makes field-sequential stereoscopy impossible on DLP projectors.

I just saw the Panasonic 52" DLP Televison at Fry's electronics (santa clara,ca), and the color and clarity is awesome. I think DLP (DMD Devices) have excellent potential as VR headsets if the DMD, colorwheel and lightsource can eventually be micro-packaged cost effectivly. For now hopefully mainstream useage in TV's may bring prices down. Right now the Panasonic bigscreen is $12500 (without the tuner). To steep for me, but since it has Svga input and supposedly has a 100Hz refresh, it's got great shutter glasses potental.
