The two above negative comments don't make sense to me. Isn't Kevin independent and (for the most part) impartial? That's what we need.

Kevin: Why didn't ya get the 3D version?

Yea I was wondering that to...

Is it worth the extra money to get the 3D ver.?

It seem's like when I use my shutter glasses after a little time with them on you don't notice the 3d anymore....

you get the wow effect at first but then you get use to it and it seem's normal...you don't walk around in real life saying wow it's 3D....

So is the 3D ver. worth the money or should I go with the 2D?

I'm not trying to promote anything. I have I-glasses, I wrote a simple review, nothing more.
Just like the last four or five reviews I've written on other HMD's.

So you stop noticing the color on your TV after a while? Why not go back to b/w?

Christoph

No christoph I see the color...LOL
It's not a good example, but every time I turn on my TV I don't say WOW COLOR but if I had to use B&W it would stink.

The 3D effect is different when I watch a color TV it doesn't turn B&W after 10min.
But with the 3D effect I just don't see it or notice it as much after 10min or so...It's there but not as noticable or important as color.

That's why I wanted to know if the 3D effect was the same with a HMD as it is with shutter glasses?
Are my eye's getting used to the seperation on the shutter glasses but with the HMD with 2 sep. LCD display's is the 3D effect different or more permanent.

Does anyone know what I mean by this?

Both LCD and HMD produce only partialy stereoscopic effect - they deliver different image to each eye, but the eye is still accomodated on a flat image. It is unfortunately far from reality ...
About 10% people is very sensitive to this, they have trouble to see stereoscopiclay in such situation. From thip point of view HMD has no advantage ...
HMD has following benefits:
No ghosting.
The image is shifted by the optic to bigger distance - partial reduction of teh accomodation effect ..

What is wrong with some people (more like person and we know who you are) on this board? The guy posted a review of his experience which is more than most do. We all know who the spam master of the board is but figured you would have at least learn to dig your "spurs" in and bite your tonque. It is way beyond annoying!

M.H Thank's for the info.

This is Craig, I posted on "The loss of 3D effect"

Great reply, I think I get it now.

If I buy a HMD I'd probably still go with the 3D model just to compare to the Shutter glasses.

Thank's for the help...Craig

Your 100Hz or 120hz TV will not work with 3D shuterglasses at all. This sort of TV interpolates the input 50Hz or 60 Hz signal to hi freq. totaly corrputiong stereoscopy. I have a 100 Hz very expensive Panasonic TV - no stereo at all. On another of my TV (some cheap models) both PAL and NTSC stereo works O.K. (but in 50/60 Hz only).
