I'm sick of waiting for Elsa to release an up-to-date generic driver for the Revelator. All my friends use the latest Detonator drivers while I'm still stuck with an old one. There must be a way to get the glasses working with the latest reference drivers but how??? If anyone knows a solution please post!

Sure, all you need is the latest driver source code from NVidia and the source code for the stereo generation and glasses control from ELSA, fix the interfaces that have been changed by NVidia, compile that stuff and spend a few months debugging to make it work reliably - piece of cake, isn't it ?? :-)

You're right, it's a cinch.
I'll start immediately after I've finished building my full-size replica of the Golden Gate bridge, made out of used matches.

But, at the Win3D company, we didn't build the full size replica of the golden gate bridge. It probably would have been easier than adding Revelator support to WINx3D.

And I should use VRCaddy to play D3D and OpenGL games?

VR CaddyME has just recently been released. Much more stable and improved from the previous version. No drivers needed, and works with the NVIDIA chip set, no problem.

Hm, I downloaded the WINx3D runtime files and the W3DREV.vxd Revelator file but when I click the test button all I get is a black screen, no matter what resolution or colordepth I choose.
What am I dong wrong? I use the 7.17 Detonator drivers with a GeForce 2MX card.

Not having much information about the problem, I would suggest that you be sure to have ELSA's stereoscopic control disabled. Otherwise WINx3D and ELSA will fight each other.

If this isn't enough, please save the C:\W3D.LOG file, run the test, and then email the file with an explanation to us at the Win3D company. We'll see what we can do to help.

We have seen some screens go black when the refresh rate is too high.

As another quick test that you can do, select a different VR gear, such as the VR Joy's, and run the test again. This will help isolate whether the problem is the revelator driver, the nVidia driver, or something else.

It should be pointed out that WINx3D is NOT a universal game driver, like the Revelator, Wicked3D or VRCaddy driver. It doesn't produce 3D-content of it's own.

I know, I would have to use VR CaddyME to play games.
But first I have to try to get those WINx3D drivers to work...
