I'm sorta in a rut. I have a nice new shiny 17" LCD FPD and want to view stereoscopic images that are being created in 3D graphics applications. Shutter glasses will not work so it only leaves LCD VR headsets as an option, if it is one.

Will LCD VR headsets (ala i-Glasses) still work even if the monitor is LCD FPD (video card will have DVI and VGA out)? Are there any headsets out there that are less than $600? Can an older set of i-Glasses (circa 1995) be used at all or are they just too old?
