A couple weeks ago I had to get a root canal. Since I was going to be there for a couple of hours, my dentist asks me if I would like to watch a movie while he works on me. After looking a little confused as to how this would be possible, I made a guess and asked him if he had a pair of i-glasses. Low and behold he carts in a stand with a VCR connected to an older pair of i-glasses! He was even more astounded to hear that I had a pair of the newer i-glasses svga.

I must say that this is an example of a perfect niche market for the i-glasses. Watching a movie while he worked on my tooth made a usually unpleasant situation much more bearable. Plus it allows the dentist to more fully concentrate on doing his work.

This also gave me a chance to compare my i-glasses svga to the older model and I must say, the i-glasses svga is incredibly clear compared to the older models. Don't get me wrong, for watching movies, the older i-glasses models are great. However there were times when I couldn't read something because of the low resolution, yet with my i-glasses svga it would be just like watching it on my 15" flat screen LCD - sharp and clear.

Does anyone else know of dentists that use i-glases for this situation?
