Hi,

I am considering purchasing a used VFX3D and was wondering what people thought about it. What were its major downfalls? What did you like about it?

Thanks
-Kevin

I think everybody will agree that the major downfall is the resolution, which is not too much, adequate, but could be a whole lot better.
Let me ask you something...
Do you need an HMD right now? IIS is coming up with the Xviwer, which should be cheaper then the VFX3d and better! :)
Also, if you need a helmet right now I would go for the I glasses xvga HMD, for about the same price is a much better HMD.
Hope it helps

When it comes to support in games, how do VFX3d, I-glasses and Forte VFX1 compare to each other ?
Does the VFX3D work with all games that supported VFX1 ? Are there more games supporting VFX3D than I-glasses or other VR devices ?

Thanks.

Support for game?
Well, forget about the VFX1, as it uses the loathed VGA connector cable! You can't attach it to any of the new video cards :) And you would need an ISA slot for the VIP card too.
.
The VFX3d and the I glasses are about the same, you can see trhough the HMD on every game, on both of them, and any game that has some sort a free look (all FPS'es) will work with tracking....
